Sup guys yea I wanted to know if this has happen to anyone on here or is it just me I have a fx35 04 and I put a cd in there it plays it ad every thing but won't let the cd come out now and it won't let me put in CDs I don't get it why it don't want to work can anyone help thanx

I know that if you unplug one of the connector from the back of the unit it will cycle through the changer. Not sure which one to unplug though. Anytime I have to take the radio out the car, all connectors have to be unplug, obviously. When I put the radio back and plug the connectors back, it always cycle through the cd changer. Hope that helps.

Check the ribbon cable behind the faceplate. Be VERY careful taking the faceplate off...the ribbon can tear in half pretty easily. Just try and reseat it. The ribbon cable controls the eject, add a cd, and the tape player.

Same thing happens with me, but instead I doubt it's the ribbon cable. It's the "opener," it doesn't fully open or it's hindered by something. I'll record it today.

Wrong info, ribbon cable also controls eject. I ripped mine about 8 months ago and replaced my whole stereo unit with a refurbished one for $180. Been perfect since. I also had the speakers cutting out when it was cold when playing cds.

You already posted about this cable....

My answer still hasn't changed... The ribbon cable controls the eject for the cd player and the cassette functions. Please read your prior post, I posted the name of the guy you can get the cable from.

thank you!

Reseat... Be very careful, take off the Ribon cable and reinsert it back into the pins.

if the ribbon is broken where would i replace it?

There's a guy on Ebay that sells them, and he's the only one I've ever found.. The cable is $100 by itself... So I'm hoping yours is not ripped

If your ribbon cable is good, and it looks like it is, I'm sorry to say your radio is shot. Needs replacement.

Here's the guy that fixed mine:

He refurbishes the cd player. Luckily, he's not far from me and installed another unit in my car in 20 minutes. EBay says for the g35, but he works on the FX as well
