2007–2008 INFINITI FX WITH ICC; VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN SPEEDOMETER AND ODOMETER PROGRAMMING ERROROn certain model year 2007 and 2008 Infiniti FX vehicles, the speedometer and odometer are reading out of specification. To remedy this condition, Infiniti is conducting this voluntary service campaign to replace the Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) unit and recalibrate the speedometer and odometer at no charge for parts or labor.

I just took my 2007 FX into Harper Infiniti here is Knoxville for a dash replacement, and they called me later and told me that this needed to be done. The laser is around $6000....so GO GET THIS DONE!! With the dash replacement and the recalibration I would have been out around $8,000 out of pocket if it wasn't a recall. My milage when I took the car in was 71,XXX and when I pickup it up they had reset the milage to 68,xxx. No charge for me, and they gave me a SWEET 2011 g37 loaner car.

I heard of the odometer recall. What is wrong with the ICC? Honestly, I don't feel like registering on a another site just to see what's going on with it, lol.

Wait is this ANOTHER campaign for the speedo re-calibration or the same one? Mine was done on my truck in the beginning of last year...

I just went to the dealer and my car has not been done. The advisor says the ICC module has to be replaced, which is causing the mileage to be off.

Just did the speedometer campaign last week. A module for the ICC and the auto A/C amplifier were replaced as part of the recall. They had an issue doing my car as the software download to reprogram the cluster was corrupted or something, so they had to replace my cluster with a new one. I went from 35117 down to 33902 miles after it was completed. The service advisor had no idea or formula how the returned miles were calculated. According to my Passport, the cluster is still about 2-3mph off (faster) and the one was about 3-4 mph off.

It good that the it only 2 - 3 mph faster when comparing to the speed display on the Passport. My speedometer is exactly 2 mph faster than the speed on the Passport. I have drive with the Passport in difference car and it speed is on the dot with those car speedometer.

Yeah, I have a feeling that the "gray area" between the mphs, like 50-55 mph, isn't very accurate or well represented, so it just seems like we are going faster. I was going to see if you wanted run our Passports side by side one of these days, because I thought mine was off, lol.

Is replacing the A/C amplifier part of the recall for this? I'm having some of the cold starting issues and many have said it was the a/c amplifier. I was going to buy this and have it replaced, but if its part of the recall I wont need to buy it.

Yes, that's what the dealer told me. They replaced the A/C amp during the visit. So you should take advantage of that now if your FX qualifies for the odometer campaign.
