The Random Question Thread

UPDATE so the red gasket sealer dried and the car started up but the rpm wont go over 2k and the check engine vcd and slip light are on. When I rev it, it sounds like a toyota lol I think I need to inspect the throttle body. Any other suggestions please?

maybe your car went into limp mode? try disconnecting your battery for half a day. then try again
 
I just took off the terminals. Thanks for all your advice btw! I really appreciate it! I put the gasket sealer on so the kinetix plenum wont have any air leaks.
 
did you seat the bottom gasket on properly in the middle? btw i think there was 8 bolts. 6 in the middle, and 2 little ones . guess yo uwill haev to wait till tmorrow and hopefully you cleared the codes and comes back to normal!
 
Yeah I did make sure everything was in check and good. I really believe its the throttle body. Im gonna take it off and put it back on and see maybe that makes a difference? I took off both plenums upper and lower like three times today because of the engine dying on me.
 
Did you use torque wrench at all? I think it's required/recommended for any plenum installation IMO.

Hhhmmmm wondering if there's enough snow to go skiing this Friday ?? I love to shop but with the crowds its not worth it and the slopes would be empty ??? Hhhhmmmmm I'm so so itching to go skiing !!!

I'll only do local trips if i'm skiing for only a day but i'd much prefer real ski trips like to Sugarloaf in Maine. Granted its early in the season but they already have 60 plus acres and about a dozen trails open. It's close to 9 hours of driving but hey wtf we'd be in our FX's :smile (2):
