My brake pads are almost at the end of life and my rotors are warped dealer wants $570+tax for everything i think thats to much for brakes so i want to buy the pads online and get it done by a good brake shop but dont know of any....do you guys think i should resurface the rotors or replace them i have heard that resurfacing rotors are temporary.

TurboCad's business is a body shop. He is not really in a business doing brake jobs lol although he is more then capable. You can try but I doubt it. If you want a really good mechanic shop. I know they will do it cheap. The place U need auto 129 34th St on 3rd ave Brooklyn. Look for a guy name Peter. If you bring your own rotors and pads I know they will charge you cheap. Just say Raymond with the FX sent ya. I just had my H & R Springs with the shocks/struts installed for $170. any other questions pm me Hope this helps you

yeah man, sorry but I am not really a mechanic shop, just bodywork and paint really.

on the fx it probably pays to just replace the rotors, will make a better job & last longer & less labor than resurfacing, which might cost almost half as much as just getting new rotors anyway.

It's pretty straight forward doing brakes on the fx. Save yourself a good amount of money and tackle the job yourself. If you need a hand, i'm also in brooklyn.

Thanks but i know nothing about brakes, i have nowhere to do the work or tools to do it ...but i can always learn, ill buy the parts ..help out anyway i can and ill pay you ..i dont have a problem with it.

What do you mean replace your rotor at 5$ to $10 a wheel? Do you mean resurface the rotors?

Has to be resurfacing rotor. My local auto store does it for $10/rotor IF you bring them the rotor. Throw in labor, you're looking at much more. $170 for spring install is ridiculously cheap at a shop.

Just a quick question. Are you talking about your front rotors?

I am going to buy all 4 i need just need to install them...

Dwaynedadon just curious did you go to the place? how much they charged you? lol

So I went to the place you sent me ...he wants $40 a wheel and I asked him. How much to install h&r on mine he said ...he said he won't know until he do the brakes because he don't know how much work is involved ...every car is different .
