Requesting help from Boston area members..

I am not sure if I'm allowed to post something like this here. I am speaking with a dealer in Framingham, MA about a 10 black FX35 with about 22k miles. Asking price is 40k, but they are not willing to go below 39,700. Is this a good price? I was hoping to get down to 38k as my budget is around that. But, if the car is in a great shape, I can stretch it..

I am about 6 hours away from there. I'm looking for someone to test drive this car and take it to an Infiniti dealership for a check up. I am willing to pay for your time. If it works out and if I buy the car, I will also buy you beer and a meal when I come to pick it up :)

Too bad you didn't mention this earlier I just drove by this dealership on the way back from Natick. But I don't mind taking another ride out there again :smile (2):

Have u checked out like a herb chambers dealership? Sometimes they have FX under 39k or even Prime Infiniti for cheap.

Just came back from the dealer for :f1oyd1an: Spent a solid 1/2 hr over the vehicle and going through it. It wasn't nice in my opinion. I don't want to get into too much detail about it but I'll mention that there were more than a few body panels repainted (most of the rear, front bumper and obviously the quarters to blend in). The entire car was detailed but didn't do that great of a job because there were swirls all over it, and a few burn marks on the fender flares. Also a few other things that I know he wouldn't of liked. Glad I took the trip instead of him.
They also had a few 1st gens that looked pretty clean but didn't spend much time with them. If anyone needs any vehicles checked out in the area let me know and I'll help you out.
 
That was a bummer. Thanks to Jmess86 for all the detailed pictures. I will keep looking. Can anyone chime in on Infiniti CPO vehicles? Is it safe to buy them and get them shipped without getting surprises like this ?

After this experience, I feel like there should be a section on this website for guys like me trying to find members to check out used cars before we buy :) Experienced members can make some quick bucks doing this. Win-Win situation..

09/10 Black Obsidian/Blue Slate with Tech Package and <30k miles. Budget is around 37-38K, but can stretch to ~40K on a good car.

Both the Herb Chambers one and the Atlantic Audi one don't have Tech package. jdTrader gave me instructions on how to recognize the tech package a while ago and I'm an expert at it now :) Basically looking for the Intelligent Cruise button below the regular cruise button on the steering right side. Or the LDW buttons on the left control panel.. A lot of these guys mention Tech package in the listing, but they are not tech packages. I emailed the Atlantic Audi guy a few days ago asking if the car really has tech package.. didn't get a response..

At this point, I'm just gonna wait to find the right car for a month or even till end of the year and if I don't find one by that time, I'll give up the tech package or the color choices..
