Memory seat stopped working. Fuse location?

But why would this only happen after installing the led mirror lights and puddle lights? Also, is the control module in the door where the buttons are? Or is there also one in the mirrors? The reason I asked is the link has mirrors listed as well. As you know the mirrors had to be removed to install the new covers. I'm wondering if there is a chapped wire Where it feeds through the mirror. idk, whats your thoughts? Also I'm going to remove the drivers. Door panel and make sure everything is tight there as well, primarily the memory switch.

Bump.
Just realized after changing the battery the memory seat doesn't work. turned on and for in settings on-screen but now the steering wheel doesn't move up when I turn the car off/ memory seats still don't work…. Any ideas?

Once the battery is removed, the seat and steering wheel memory will clear. You have to set the seat and steering wheel in oder for them to work again.

I tried to re-set the seat memory but it does not hold…. unless I am remembering how to do it wrong? You press MEM then 1 or 2? MEM then hold 1 or 2?

Not sure how re-set the 2nd Gen. For 1st Gen, just adjust seat and steering wheel position and then press and hold the whichever memory number for 5 second.

Have been without seat memory for a long time, steering wheel and seat move perfectly fine, and will slide when enter/exit the car, just the # is not working.

I've had this issue since I bought the car used in 2010....I have a 2005. I wish someone could point me in the direction of how to fix it as I have 2 drivers (including myself) that use the car. Can't find the fuse (if that is even the problem).

Here is a diagram showing fuses that control the seat functions such as automatic adjustment, heating and memory. Check them all in both locations, fuse box by the foot brake pedal and in the engine compartment under the battery cover.

Hope that will solve your problem.

any leads on this, i have same problem, everything functions manually, selected in menu, and all fuses in tact. no lights on memory 1 or 2 button when depressed (used to go green)

I had this problem years ago and discovered an easy "fix". Below is a copy an paste from a post to another forum I responded to regarding a similar issue. Hope it helps/good luck:

Yesterday I had to change my battery at 90k miles. Wouldn't hold charge anymore. Everything seems to be okay now, except that my driver seat does not slide back on exit anymore. I've tried everything from the manual. I know there's a setting option and I've check to make sure that it's on. Still nothing. It's annoying right now getting out of the car in the normal position.

Somebody here must have had the same issue, please HELP!!!

Thanks.

I'm bringing this post back to life because I had the same experience today when changing my battery. (BTW, changing the battery is NOT simple); you have to remove all of the associated trim pieces for easy access). Anyway, I did a search and found the "fix" on the NICO forum. Here it is (works like a charm):

1. Open the driver's door
2. Turn the key to the Run position
3. Turn the key all the way back off, but don't remove the key
4. Close the door
5. Wait about 1 minute
6. Open the door, the function (memory) should work now.

A couple of times I've been too anxious and opened the door without waiting long enough, if you do, just start the procedure over.

About once a year someone always asks this one. Someone should sticky this.

Hope this helps! It did the trick for both my steering wheel and seat auto exit.

Ok, so I have checked the fuses and nothing is blown. Now in my earlier posts I stated that my problem did not arise until I installed my led turn signal mirror covers, more specifically the passanger side. Anyone who has ever done this knows that the channel that the wire harness is ran through is very tight and as we know we have to run the wires through the same channel for the LEDs. I'm thinking that in doing so that maybe one of the wires in that harness is chapped, the reason I think this may be the case is that once in a blue moon when I have a passanger the seat and steering wheel will work. But only for a second, so I'm thinking that someone being in the passanger seat and opening and closing the door, that somehow there is a wire or contact issue. Soooo, who has the schematics of the wire harness going into the passanger side door? I'm dead set on resolving this issue! Thanks in advance!

Update, I checked everything I could and still could not find anything wrong. BUT, as I stated in an earlier post my memory button on my door does not light up! However, if I hold the memory button down I get two flashes on buttons one and two which from what I've read indicates that it's working. So the question now is the button bad? Or is it the drivers seat memory control module? What are your guys thoughts? Someone please chime in, thanks in advance!

Mine do not move automatically when entering or exiting the car, even though the option is on in the system settings. Also, I cannot set a seat memory. I can adjust the seats, steering wheel and everything else. But cannot save in memory or get them to auto adjust when entering or exiting the vehicle. My dome lights work, the chimes, the HL on chimes etc, etc. please help!
Hi everybody.

I'm having exactly the same problem since last night when I installed Paddle Shifters adding the needed bracket.

I can manually adjust the seats, the mirrors and the steering wheel. But the seat and the steering wheel are not automatically retracting when I enter or exit the car. The options are ON at the Settings menu. Also the SET, 1 and 2 button doesn't even light upon anymore.

I have tried the "re initialization" methods on the service manual. Also disconnected the battery from some minutes, and nothing.

This is driving me crazy. Everything was perfect on my QX70 until this.

I hope somebody can come out with a possible solution.

Thanks guys.

Very similar situation: I installed paddle shifters on my EX37, and my seat memory quit working. After a lot of research, it seems like the problem is with the alignment of the power steering adjustment (the in and out).

From what I’ve been able to gather, they’re tied together and when you install the paddle shifter bracket, it throws it out of alignment and it no longer works. I haven’t taken the time to tear in to it, but may tackle it this weekend.
