any of you 1st gen fx35 AWD running a SC as a DD

We dont have much on the G35 boards about the AWD system handling a SC. A couple people did boost and just left the boards. I've looked into a couple of times but never went thru with it because there wasn't much info on how much the AWD system can take.

Assuming the G35x and the FX35's AWD system is very similiar, we should be within the same limits. I know that motor can take least 350hp/about 350 tq. Since most guys with a simple bolt-on SC kit racks up around there and no one has many issues if they are properly tuned. But they are all on RWD platforms.

I figure at the min, i have to do a shift kit, VB and cooler. Quicker shits means cooler AT temps, which will help in the long run.

So yea anyone here running boost on a DD? I know rookie used to run a stillen stage4 a long time ago but he is a RWD.

My car is going to be done in a few days ... im installing an upgraded Vortech supercharger ... i will have around 400 - 450 hp .... i have an AWD system and i will be using it as a Daily Driver :wink (2):

"Quicker shits?":laugh::laugh: ... just noticed that now :tongue (2): .... yea im not sure how a g35x would handle the extra power
 
lol... obviously i mean SHIFT or did I....

So any updates on that vortech.

I know there is least one stillen blown FX in the chicago area, red one. It was at a dealership about 2-3 years ago. Kinda wondering how its doing.

I read up a lot of people who get S/C's installed either sell the car or part out the car withing like 2 years. And in those 2 years they dont really drive them much because they are working out the tiny issues with them or waiting for a tune or another needed upgrade. Kinda sad to see all that wasted money.
 
Check RMF's other threads, his car is up and running. I believe he pulled the AWD fuse so it's RWD, but he's driving it and having a blast it appears.
