I think this was the rooftop kind. Platform ones are good, since they protect the bike best. I was using the kind that clamps onto the top tube, and because mine is angled, the front tire hung down low. This was in the Tahoe, but I went over a slight bump and actually hit the tire on the pavement.
I'm planning to use this for all occasions. My downhill bike, kids bikes, and our city/camp bikes. The nice thing about this tack is it supports all kind of bike frames and sizes. I currently have the regular hitch goose neck type rack and it won't fit the DH bike or my daughters Electra.

Louisville Ky (and all of its many small 2nd class cities). Great concept, unfortunately I investigate these local scams as well, but can definitely be the middle man.
