What is your wheel spec. Were you lower when you had the 285/45/22? I think it is the 45 series tire that is too tall and not the width of the tire cause the rubbing. You shouldn't even consider 285/45/22 to begin with since it is way too tall for the car. The diameter difference is 5.18% bigger than OEM according to 1010tire calculator. Within 3% is recommended.I actually have Yokohoma Parada Spec X 265/40/22 tires.At first i had 285/45/22 tires but they rubbed on the springs when i was turning so i ended up switching the size. I haveno complaints about the size.
