Cup holder inserts... will an '06-'08 insert work in an '05?

Does anyone know if the cup holder inserts were the same for all 1st generation years? Meaning, will the insert from an '06 work with an '05? Thanks.

Comparing googled pictures it does look like there is a very minor difference. Dang it!

They look very similar, but they have different part #. Pretty sure is not identical:
2003 - 2005: 68430-CG000
2006 - 2008 w/Sport Pkg: 68430-CL71A
2006 - 2008 w/o Sport Pkg: 68430-CL70A

Those p/n's are for the whole cup holder assembly though, correct? I figured those were different since the consoles are different. I'm talking about the loose insert inside the cup holder that is not available seperately.

Yeah, those # are for the hold cup holder. No part # for just the insert.

i finally scored a cup holder insert from ebay yesterday! it cost me $46 and some change with shipping. :1biggrin:

They are very much so different. I pulled an insert from an 06 for my 05 and it did not work without modification. Even with modifying it, it doesn't sit completely flush in my cup holder. But it does the job and it sticking up a bit certainly beats having a drink spilled all over my lap and/or console.
