FX50S soon to be uprev tuned.

Interesting that UpRev doesn't list them, probably because they are viewed as a competitor. Although COBB no longer does VQ stuff with their tuning software. The list should be up to date, because my tuner is listed, and he's only been licensed since last August.
 
When I emailed uprev to ask about the FX50S they responded simply "We currently don't support direct injection. It is under development".

The FX50 doesn't have direct injection....FX50 uses fuel injection with VVEL

Only the M56 and QX56 motors have direct injection

To clarify, the guy told me that although they did not support the FX35 (at the time they had an accessport for the z/g models), that there was a viable option called Uprev with which he was familiar. Maybe he meant that they weren't licensed but could be if I was interested..? I was looking for a piggyback solution so I never pursued the conversation any further beyond a "thanks"...
 
Just wondering, does retuning the engine void the warranty? I'd love to do mine too, but don't wanna mess with it if it'll void the warranty.
 
im just really shocked that the mustang dyno really shows those improvements up top for the uprev... but then again maybe the v8 has more to gain than the VQ37HR motors from the G's being uprev''ed
 
I think HR motor is a really well learning motor by itself.( to do boltons. )Most 37s with boltons alrdy put numbers well into low 300s at the wheels. Intakes, hFcs(or testpipes) + exhaust alrdy releases its potential. Uprev tune usually scores 5-8whp gain on the HR motors. So Before going for tune on fx50 you guys should bolt on more parts. Only thing I can say about Uprev tuning, Airfuel ratio, if its off, So you can have a better/more useful midrange HP gain. And very responsive throttle. Scoring power from Uprev is a hit or miss. Im tuned on my g35, and throttle responsiveness and power in midrange is so much better. Car pulls very strong to redline.

Isn't that the same motor thats in the titans?? I know a grip of titan guys who are tuned with Osiris... and to my knowledge they all have the same VK56

Uprev only lists the authorized protuners on their website, there are lots of shops out the that tune with their products they're just not an "authorized protuner." Anyone with a tuner cable can tune a car, and if they have a shop and dyno who's to know the difference

No not the same motor.


Infiniti M56 and New QX56 use the VK56VD with direct injection and variable valve event and lift technology and puts out another 100 hp over the previous VK56DE

Titan uses the VK56DE fuel injection.

I got that last Friday night, then my car was having it's body kit installed the last couple days...finally got it back last night...got in a fender bender today at lunch !!!! I'm SO pissed !!!!! I will do a post with pics on the body kit and the UpRev tune when I get all this sh*t back in order and calm down...sorry for the delay.
