Lance, you changed out INJEN capped filter for much larger 9" AMSOIL filter with an open end design #3590, did you have any space or fitment issues getting that larger filter down there? With the stock INJEN one, it was pretty tight to begin with. I actually rubbed the filter fins on parts of the car getting it down there.
^So did you ever get it dynoed to see if you gained anything? M45 owners have seen negative gains when combining injen cai and exhaust mods with no tune. It migh be hard to tell with all your other mods you have now but I was just wondering if you ever got it done before some of them.
The only thing I had verified was my exhaust B/4 and after, after that I started using UPREV. Output and torque kept/keeps going up but being able to tweak for A/F makes a big difference. I do know that when I installed my Pop charger (before the INJEN, before I tuned) I was pretty sure I lost low end.
So do you think tq went up with the retune and injen? Also idk if you fx guys heard about this but another company made a cai for the M, r2c performance, showed some good gains on a mustang dyno.
No Dyno results but I do believe the INJEN performs well. The intake is far from the bay (down inside the well) so the air starts out colder. The tube may soak but the air still comes in quickly enough its still much better.
Chedman, showed us the R2C performance one before. Looks like a nice intake too, but I like the Injen better because its a true cold air, not a short ram like some others. The sound is absolutely amazing too.
Thanks for the info, I've been debting if I should get one or not. So far with only a custom exhaust I have the fastest 1/4 mile time and I think the highest gains when UpRevd. (M45)
Also - I had my TB bored 2mm over OE ID. I have had issues with my build(s) and have only had the opportunity to feel bits and pieces between runs (like the Modded TB) but I'd say on the 45 the TB is a huge win. Stack up the Intake, the over bored TB and the manifold porting WITH the UPREV tune and you should see some nice gains.
Quick question? I know it's a old thread about you had any issues or worries about water getting pulled in. Because where I live it floods pretty often and I want to change the intake but Scared about water getting sucked up. Thanx

I haven't had any issues with water getting pulled in when I use the full cold air setup. If it floods pretty often for you, then just use the short ram setup then. I'm not using the provided air filter. I purchased a separate Amsoil filter with a hydroguard sleeve to help repel the water a little bit.
