So there are a lot of threads on what spacer will fit OEM wheels, but what about any wheel that has a flat face for 100% clearance of studs?

Jeff's post was very helpful:

To find out that OEM studs are 30 mm long.

Now, take into account the thickness of the rotor and where the stud mounts to, adds up to XX mm.

So, on a flat face wheel, the clearance should be 30mm -- XX mm = YY mm.

My best guess is a 25 mm spacer is the minimum size to clear any wheel, whether it has dimples/holes in between. If it has dimples/holes in between, it would be reduced, e.g. 20 mm spacer.

Any ideas here?

Turns out Handy_Andy comes through in the clutch and measured that with his 25mm spacer, the stud is about 1 mm recessed. That means *maybe* a 24mm spacer will work with stock studs and no shaving, but I would not risk it and just say 25mm spacer will work with ANY wheel without having to shave the studs.

If your wheel has any dimples or holes in between, you can measure how deep the dimple/hole is to see what minimum spacer you need to use bolt-on type WITHOUT shaving the stock studs.

maybe i'll get 26mm to be safe...

If 26 mm spacer give you better stands and flush with the fender, go for it.
I know for sure 25 mm will clear both front and rear wheels that are flat on the back side.
My wheels are flat on the back side.

25mm brings me to 45mm farther than oem.
26mm brings me to 46mm farther than oem.

I think I'll go with 25mm. The maximum offset I've seen on a non-wide body is Rookie's HRE's with 22x10 +22mm on 305/35/22. That's 43mm more than OEM.

This is going to look super aggressive...
