AeroBFA's Autumn Copper FX45 :: 2007 Infiniti FX45

Ha, no it's not painted. It's an OEM replacement cap I got on eBay for $7 shipped. Hard to tell at first I thought it was black in the picture. But after looking again, its a dark grey, but the cap in real life is light grey. Either way, still better looking than that blue eyesore. If I did paint it, I would paint it black or copper. :car:

Got my grille blacked out finally. Started out with a standard chrome grille and used steel wool to remove all the chrome in preparation for the body shop to paint it. I also had the shop paint the top portion of the grille body color so it flows better with the bumper. The body shop did a fantastic job, worth the extra money to get it done. There is no orange peel and should be much more durable than DIY spray cans. I was hesitant on getting my grille in gloss black, especially on Autumn Copper, but now I'm so happy I went through with it. Couldn't imagine the car without it. There is so much contrast going on in the front, it makes my sport headlights too light looking, so I'm thinking of painting my headlights gloss black in the future now. Thanks to Andrew for taking these awesome pics with his new Sony Nex 5 camera too!

Looks sick and great idea with the top grill matched to body color. Whats next? Some turn signal mirrors would compliment your ride nicely :good:

Finally!! Now I have a twin!! Glad you went with a gloss black!! Works so nice with the copper and sport lights! And when you paint the lights it will complete the look!! Looking Awesome!

I know, what a difference one small detail can make! The car does looks a lot more aggressive now with the black.

I do want signal mirrors. I think they would look great too. I actually had the chance to get a set, but was nice enough to pass it to someone else. :peace:

I know right? Gloss is the way to go. Just like you, so many mods to do, so little time. :desire:
