Just wanted to know i anyone is having this problem? Cd player skipping bad at times with different cd, not burned, in different slots. Ive seen a couple of old post on other sites, but they didnt really say much.

My 03 factory cd players sucks. it skips worse if it is very hot or very cold. I quit using it all together. I run my ipod through the rear dvd aux input with a $5 cable
( headphone to rca )

Wow lucky me. Mine CD play still good, but I don't use it anymore. I'm using GROM Audio adapter that allows me to stick a USB stick with MP3 on it.

Reel to Reel,4 track, 8 track, Cassette, Cd Things from the past LOL
 Reel to Reel in a car? Hahaha. And 4 track? Man, I thought 8 track was historic already.

I have a cd cleaner that i use but dint do much. I dont have the tech pack so i dont have the audio hook up to run ipod threw the rear dvd aux input. My car is one that they didnt run the wire back
http://www.infinitifx.org/viewtopic.php?t=1457
so i would have to pull the radio to hook mine up as in this

You can install a GROM Audio Adpater to let you play MP3 on a USB stick. Tech package is not needed with GROM.

The Stereo-Pak differs from Stereo 8 in its ¼" magnetic tape contains four data (music) tracks, whereas 8-tracks have twice the tracks in the same amount of space. Thus, 4-track tapes have the potential for Audiophile .
The main difference in 4-track design from 8-tracks is that 4-tracks lack a built-in Tape transport - (usually made out of rubber or plastic) which would grip and help move the tape; a hole is left in the cartridge for a pinch roller to be inserted from inside the 4-track player itself. The large opening in the bottom of the 4-track cartridge, for admission of the pinch roller, leaves 4-track tapes more susceptible to trapping dirt and other substances besides those normally found inside cartridges, and requires a greater level of mechanical complexity in the player, as the pinch roller must be inserted and retracted vertically through the bottom of the cartridge.
Less tracks meant better sound quality due to less crosstalk from adjacent tracks.
