memory seats, aux-in

I've only had my '06 FX45 for 4 days now and the wife has taken it to work every day so far so I haven't had a lot of time to poke around yet, but so far I'm stumped by 2 things:

1) Memory Seats - We've programmed them. My wife is short.. likes the seat up high and everything tucked in real close to the dash. I'm tall. I like to sit a lot lower and have to sit a lot further back. The problem is that after she has been driving, if I am going to drive next, simply hitting the "2" button on the door for my seating settings does nothing as I stand outside the car and press the button with key turned off. If I contort and twist my body in to turn the key to the "acc" position, I can then twist back out, and push the "2" button and then the seat goes to my positioning and I can then get in the FX. My old Acura with memory seats accepted seat choices by simply hitting the button on the door.. no need to crawl in first and turn on the key. Is this normal behavior on the FX?? Seems really goofy if so.

2) Aux-in - I've poked around twice and have not found the aux-in. Is there one?? Mine has Nav and Tech.. can't imagine this would be an omission.

1) If you have the Getting Started Guide with your books that will answer your question. That's what I did. You have 2 sets of Intelligent keys right?

2) It doesn't have one. Some have iPod connectors but no AUX input.

Ahh.. I do have 2 sets of Intelligent keys but one has a dead battery and I haven't been able to use it yet... maybe that will clear up the issue once I get the battery replaced (already ordered some CR2025's yesterday). So just use my key for me and everything becomes real slick. Got it. Thanks. Bummer about the aux input. That is really surprising.

But even without the ikey, you should still be able to program the the memory settings on the 1 and 2 buttons on the seat itself. Look in the owners manual for instructions. But pairing them to the the ikey is the most convenient.

He is able to program them.... I think he would like to be able to adjust it without turning the key, which I don't think is possible.

As suggested by others... you can use the ikey.

or under the "VEHICLE ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS" menu you can enable
"Adjust Driver Seat when Exiting Vehicle". This will adjust the seat to a default back position every time you exit the car, at least this way the next person getting in will always be able to get in without any problems.

no Aux in. :(
if you have DVD player you can use the component video inputs for an MP3 player or Iphone. The cables are pretty cheap.

wait... what? you can pair ikeys with memory seat positions? <3infinitiscene<3

OP... fwiw, check glove box for ipod cable? Mine came installed with car, dont know if dealer raped me for it or if its standard on 2008s

Ah yes I read the OP's wrong. It is correct, I am afraid on the FX you can't change the memory seat position simply by pressing the memory buttons without the key in ACC or without using the ikey. I do not like thisWe either myself. I dont know if this has changed in the newer fx models. But like it has already been out, just have to program the individual ikeys to get what your after.

I've looked and I see no information on how to do this in either the manual or the various in-dash menus. How do I program one intelligent key for my seat setting and the other key for my wife's seat setting??

EDIT: NEVERMIND, found the info on youtube: Ericksen Infiniti: Programming Your Intelligent Key Edmonton Dealership - YouTube
