So.... My FX35 goes crazy when it rains. I believe its my computer getting wet. Gauges go crazy, A/C does what it wants, lights turn on and off on their on, trans shifts hard. (BTW car is fine any other time and it goes back to normal after a few hours) I also notice a small puddle of water of the front passanger floor mat. Does anyone know the location of the ECU??? Or possibily where I should start?

To see a video go to youtube and search infiniti fx35 w/crazy gauges. This is my first post so I can't post links yet. Please help me out. Thanks!!!

The ecu is located to the right and above of the passenger floor well. If you bought the car used, check behind the battery for a big rubber grommet, the previous owner might of ran wires through this grommet without sealing it properly.

yes, very common problem when aftermarket stuff is installed & wired to the battery from inside the car. like jeff says, behind the battery is where your problem originates. welcome to IS :)

Thanks A lot turns out I am the person that went through that area when I ran my Power Cable when I purchased the car. Any suggestions of what to use to seal it up?

Using the grommet is probably the best solution, just punch a small hole in it for the wiring. If the grommet is missing, I would suggest RTV silicone(room temp. vulcanizing).

You can find this at any auto parts store, I use the black stuff from Permatex.
