anyone got a radar detector or jammer?

I have the Escort 8500, costs a little less than the 9500, but works really well in my observation. I drive Kansas turnpike daily, & start pickuping Ka band well over a mile away. (Kansas is flat) Thats what the local state troopers & Sheriff use here. Only been hit with laser once, didn't know it till I was almost on top of the trooper.

I've never seen a CHP with Laser, but lots with Ka and those fuckers leave it on all the time. Oh no, Ka going off must be a chippy running radar. Nopeeee, he's just doing a traffic stop but left it on.

thats interesting, ive seen only lidar (in the past 4 years being pulled over for speeding). My friends dad is a chp and he told me all chp use leo lidar guns and if they use radar its only for traffic survey

Had a V1 and could not handle the false alarms but love the arrows. I let the arrows go and got a 9500ix and will never look back. GPS function makes it almost silent especially in the areas you drive a lot. It has saved me on the open road but for me it is just nice to know when they are around. I have never had a jammer so I cannot comment on those.
 
I had the 9500 too before it was stolen! Loved it. Acted as a secondary speedometer for me too. always checked my speed on that before my cluster since it was mounted. Loved the escort. Highly recommended!
 
I have always ran radar detectors in every car I've owned, in the past I was a huge passport/escort fan. But I now run beltronics rx65's in both of my cars and wouldn't spend a penny more for anything else. FYI all the of the above mentioned detectors are all made by Cincinnati Microwave. In the past I have had 3 passports crap out on me I have only had 1 beltronics that did, Cincinnati Microwave charged around a 100. to refurbish it to brand new and included the new mount, case ect. Also I like the rx65 With the smart cord as I have it hardwired and mounted just left of my mirror. With that said i can turn the lights off and unless you really look you would never know I have one, this also helps at night with tailgaters on the hwy. NO radar detector is 100% full proof! But it will decrease your chances to I would say 10% in getting a ticket. Keep in mind regardless of what detector you are running the laser only goes off when it's pointed directly at you. In other words, if your laser goes off and your speeding your getting a ticket! I drive on average 50k miles a year and the Rx65 is roughly 350.00 and it has saved me its weight in gold!!!

I know at least once I've seen them pull someone over after I heard Ka go off. They were actually coming the other way and pulled the car over right next to me after I slowed down. Maybe they were running laser every time I passed one, but they were dumb enough to leave Ka on, so I knew they were coming the whole time. Never got a ticket 3 years in CA.

Loving my V1. Been using it for years and know that is has saved me countless times. I don't speed too much though and I have the laser notification turned off.
 
I kno this thread is old but I didn't wanna start a new one. I am interested in getting a radar and was thinking about the solo s3 cause I hate wires hanging down and input on how good this cordless radar is before I pull the trigger do you recommend it?
 
Wireless suck ass, I had the solo s3 and it was the worse radar detector period. Get a hard wired one and get a blendmount kit that attaches to your rearview mirror and Taps into the mirror power source. No cords and looks clean. I have it done this way on my fx. I also recommend the escort 9500ix best radar detector I have ever had, it's expensive but worth the $, saved me a ton of times, no joke. Here's how it looks:
