Ok guys, I need help. The stupid BOSE amp/sub combination worked intermittently and finally gave up. With that said, Im going to upgrade all the speakers in the FX. The door and dash speakers I wont have a problem installing. I plan on keeping the factory speaker Amp but I need help installing the sub amp. Ive done my research on the forums and the internet, but i haven't found a cut forward DIY. A couple of things i picked up was that i need one of the PAC TR-4 remote turn on module. Will I also need a high/low invert? Where do I tap into the wires and what color wires am I to tap in to?
Please, I could use some help...
Thanks in advance

Look in the DIY forum. I used one from this site. I think I tapped into the pink for remote turn on and I ran bigger power and ground wires. It was easy

No need for PAC unit for only doing a sub amp. Tap into the pink wire for the remote, and run power and grounds.

You ALWAYS want to run a dedicated power line whenever running an amp. Minimum 8 awg. Preferably 4awg because the run is going to be over 20 ft. Also, make sure to put an inline fuse within 6" of the battery.

Mtn, never try and splice an amp of of that source. The 12v outlet in the back probably has a 14-16awg line going into it. Then trying to splice an 8awg(minimum) running an amp would not be safe. That 14-16 awg line would heat up very quickly.
