From Jetta to FX

Nice meeting everyone!

Finally got rid of the Jetta for this big baby and am loving it! Been reading a lot on here since I picked up my new to me '05 FX35 and hope to learn more about this interesting ride...
 
There's lots to learn here, I've gained Tons of knowledge from the guys here on:iS:. Only been on here for for a little over 2 months. I'm an addict already...
 
Welcome! Was your Jetta modded? I came from a VW GTI to an FX a few years back & I don't regret it at all. I also live in Dallas. Maybe we will run into each other one day! :smile (2): Here's is the GTI that I used to drive.

If you like mods, then you should have stuck with and rx330. It would have saved you a lot of cash :laugh: but seriously welcome!!
 
I do like mods but I will try and keep this car as close to stock as possible. In the meantime, I'm only looking at the Ipod integration. I think I will drive her more before I dive into major mods I have seen here. That way I get a better feel of the soul of the car and not make any costly mistakes in modding. Suspension is definitely an area of consideration once I get a handle of this big baby.

Quick question though: can the dealer provide me with a maintenance and service history of this car based on my vin? I need to know what to prioritize as far as routine maintenance is concerned.
 
Same FX flavor. Nice
You get alot of tickets. Both rides are screaming fast looking.

Thanks GTO. I don't drive around making too much noise so I'm really good at not getting any tickets (knock on wood).

& yes Jc, red IS my favorite color haha. The FX came out similar to my old GTI but I never intended it to. It just happened i guess lol.
