Philips Ultinons 6000K

I know this has been covered previously, but I just wanted some fresh feedback. I see lots of sellers on flebay selling "genuine" Philips Ultinons model 85122WX for around $100 (used to be $200+ ?)

Is anyone running these on their FX ? I've had mixed experience with Morimotos , first set was great but 1 bulb died and whatever they sent as subsequent replacements they are not that great (current ones have a pink tint once they warm up)

Any night photos would be great too :tongue (2):

Best bulbs you can buy in my opinion. Have the cash? Do it.

My OEM philips are 8 years old, i touched the bulbs, dropped them, been through 100+ temps, -20 temps and they still work and are still bright.:rolleyes:

I am sold on Philips.

But I run Morimotos since when I was buying D2S bulbs, they were $200+ as you said. At $100, I would get them in a heart beat.

Morimotos are still really good in my book. Never failed in my case.
 
I had the Phillips Ultinon 6K bulbs before and they were nice, but I didn't care for the pink tint they had to them after warming up. Sobi on here had the same issue with them. I switched to Morimoto bulbs and love the color. Just pure white with no yellow at all. I've had my Morimoto's for a year and never had a problem with them. Actually I heard the Morimoto bulbs share similar parts with Phillips Ultinon. Their also popular on HIDplanet.com

That is so weird, my current Morimotos have that pink tint and that's why I want to replace them. The first set they sent me was amazing but 1 bulb died as I mentioned and 2 replecements they sent, they have never been the same :confused.:

That's wierd man. How many hours have you had them on? A full break in for these bulbs to reach their "true" color are atleast a good 40 hours+

Had them installed 2 months ago so I'd say more than 40 hours for sure, Matt from TRS said that he sent me a new prototype "improved" bulbs and that he would send my feedback to factory. I'm just lucky I guess :eek: They have a beautiful pure white color for maybe 2-3 minutes but once they warm up, hello pink !
 
I have the philips colormatch 5000K. Love them. There is also a philips crystal vision version that is 5000K. Supposedly the same as colormatch, but i think it has a slightly tinted bulb.

Yeah but those are 5000K and cost more than Ultinon 6000K , I want 6000K to match my HID Fogs. As for TRS , I feel bad for them because this is a 3rd set they sent me already and sending them back from Canada costs a lot so it's not worth my time.:frown:
