the dash has an extended warranty to replace the bubbling dashboard if that happens. you should check with your local dealer if you already haven't gotten the letter specific to this problem. the dash has an 8 yr/unlimited miles warranty. if yours is bad, get it replaced. you won't have to fork in thousands of $$$.

It's been three years since the dealer replaced the dash in the FX35 I sold to my mom and there are not any bubbles. The car was about 3 years old when they appeared on the original dash.
 
2005 FX35. I had my car for about 2 years now and when I purchased it then I never noticed the bubbles until recently. I don't know if the warranty is covered in Canada?
 
Mine started bubbling since I voted "NO" on the poll :eek: It's a couple of really tiny bubbles but I read that once it starts to bubble it'll spread quickly so I stopped by a local dealer and talked to the service manager. He ordered a dash for me so I'll get it replaced soon!
 
I just picked up my car from the dealership from getting my radio replaced (the steering wheel controls didnt work and the switch box wasnt the solution) and thinking i wouldnt be there in awhile (cause i was also there last week replacing my steering column due to a groaning noise) and of course i come across this thread... and sure enough: i have a few very small bubbles around the vents closest to the hood of the car. looks like ill be back there either next week or the following! good thing to know its a problem many people have not just a result from taking care of the car badly by the previous owner!
 
Thanks to this thread, I am getting the dash in my '04 replaced under warranty tomorrow. They also told me that my car has a head and tail light recall as well that they are going to take care of at the same time.
 
I swear I saw a bubble in my FX but it does not appear to be that big don't want to take it to the dealer and have them tell me they don't see it lol
 
Sorry, I am joining this thread a bit late, but is this bubble problem affecting the 2nd gen FX too? Also, has anyone tried using "303 aerospace protectant" on their dash with any success?
 
Thank you, good to know. I hope Infiniti stands by its product and corrects the bubbling issues on the 1st gen. Sounds like they are trying their best to help FX owners for the most part with the warranty extension.
 
Wife's FX is an '06. Massive bubbling. Waiting until summer is over to take it in for warranty replacement.
Bubbling started while it was still mainly a garage queen.
Now it's the split seam on driver's upper back rest side that has me annoyed now.....
