iPod Interface

I have the USA Spec PA15-NIS (~$130 on Amazon). If you have the SAT radio, it'll display the song title and the artist. I don't have any regrets for not going OEM.

Do a search on IS and you'll see many other threads on the same topic.

You ran the wiring through the center glove or glove that is located on the front dash.

Through the center glove box. I found it to be the most accessible place plus it has a little groove for you to fit the wires through. But do keep in mind that you have to drill a little hole to fit the wires through from the box to the console.

I don't have SAT radio, but I have the capability meaning the SAT button and what not. Can you tell me what the difference if vs. the one on Infiniti Parts USA for $210.

Just purchased the USA Spec PA15-NIS kit with installation on Saturday for $200 total. At first they were trying to install the USA Spec PA15-INFI version and I noticed them going to the trunk and taking out stuff. I thought it was odd because I didn't see this on DIY forum. Anyways, they eventually realized to use the USA Spec PA15-NIS version once they figured out I didn't have SAT radio, but only the SAT button. They ended up installing two plugs for me (AUX plug and Ipod plug) through the center console. As mentioned by eJay, when using the AUX plug you can not see the title on the Navigation screen and that you would have to use the Ipod plug. So far so good. However, it was setup so I can not track through the steering wheel. I have been using the AUX plug most of the time.

I recently bought a '06 FX35 and soon realized that I have an ipod charger cord and an auxilary cord both coming out of my front council. I have not been able to figure out yet what setting the radio needs to be on to use my ipod. What do I need to do to play my ipod once I'm connected to the auxilary cable?

I have to press the SAT button, not sure what button you have on your dash. Do you have a SAT button or AUX button?

I'm not sure if mine is OEM or not, I got it from the dealer and opened the glovebox and found the cable in there. Connected my ipod and then.... bam! The music was playing on the radio. If this is OEM or after market, does anyone know how I would be able to browse through the music on my ipod instead of just playing it alphabetically like it does?
