GB - New CREE DTRL bulbs available

Jump starting now, will report back. I did this last night, but it's not like the lights were on for long, and I had the fogs off. Only thing I can think is that they somehow stayed on all night. Car was completely dead though. Had to use the manual hatch opener. And the battery is from 10/10, from Costco.

Well I can't even jump start it now, won't turn over. I guess I need to check the battery first.
 
I don't think you'll be able to jump start a completely drained battery. Hook it up to a charger if you have one for half HR or so and see if it makes a difference.
 
I should probably get a jump starter/charger before I drive back to school anyway. I have a detail now but hopefully I can get one later. Good idea!
 
Yeah all good now. Finally got it to jump start this morning. I'm thinking maybe I left the lights on after install. Nothing else makes sense.
 
I did the same thing as Stu. Hopefully mine won't die on me :eek: Anyways here are some pics of the final product if anyone is considering the mod.

Color-wise, the CREE bulbs are a little bit bluer than the Morimotos. I think it matches with the DDM 6K Fog bulbs better in color. I still like the results, though!

I can't remember exactly, but I think looking straight on at the CREE bulb it looks bluer, but at any angle and it's whiter.
 
Looking good! I can't wait to get mine on, btw stu now that you got the fx up and running again when are we gonna get some videos of the new HFC's?

Hopefully tomorrow after I do some final inspecting and bolt tightening of the HFC mounts before the tune. There are some funny sounds I want to check out first.

My replacement bulbs came with a return label that I just taped over the original label and sent them back in the same package.

Installed it, 1st impression its lighter (i.e. clear white or pure white) than my 6k Moriomoto heads and 6k DDM fogs. I have the dtrl swap. Im kind of dissatisfied it doesnt match with the huge projector heads, looks like a small dot next to it. It does kind of blind you if your on sloped/inclined road. Its bright when you look at it but does not illuminate light well off the road, this is not an upgrade.

Also as i was doing back and forth swaps between dtrl and blinkers, the bulb fell into the blinker into the headlight took me 25 mins to take it out. I took them out and put electric tape over the socket and the bulb. Its much more secure now.

I noticed more light on the road with mine. I had my fogs off and was surprised that the area right in front of me was lit up well, then I remembered the new bulbs.

I sent mine back wed and it I sent them priority mail with confrmation cost was $5.80

Dam I hope they don't send the return label now because I allready paid the shipping as they instructed us to do and get a paypal refund on the shipping.

My..what a mess, this GB went insane, sorry to hear fella's, what i dont for the life of me understand if why they were tested on a TL and not what they would be sellin it FOR :-/ i mean there has to be one FX they could have asked for R&D prior to full production and sale of said product. Hope all goes well with those being sent out again!
 
Still didn't get mine. Says the post office has been electrically notified of shipment prep on aug 22. Maybe they'll just show up on Monday. You TL guys didn't have any problems with flickering or overheating?

I never got it, was told a module was needed so they would work properly, alo of us backed out due to added costs, others i think had to wait, ill ask on acurazine see if anyone did get it tho ;)
