Weathertech window visors/deflectors

$114.95 later they are on the way to my house now lol. Better get them now before they realize how many 2nd Gen owners have been waiting and are going to order. They will prob bump the price up a little, weren't they $120 for the first Gen at one point?

I ordered the Dark and deflectors all around. I think the dark will look better with tinted windows.
I ordered them through my friends Speed Shop.

Agreed I ordered dark........ one for the same reason^^^^^^ my tints are 5% all around, and two I think they will flow better with the copper/black exterior theme.
 
I got the email this morning. Ordered them this afternoon. Can't wait to get them on. I already had the sunroof deflector.

waketripper: I always use weathertech products... I have their window and sunroof deflectors on all my vehicles as well as the digital floor liners. Great products.
 
I am not a particular fan of the way they look, but they can be handy.

Some cars really look good with them on though. Looking forward to pics from you guys of how they look.
 
What is the main purpose of them even? I don't like the look of them either really just curious why people get them?

Been lucky PD doesn't really mess with me, knock on wood. I'm usually respectful when I see them around, turn my music down and such, so I don't bring on the unwanted attention............. and yes it is the best color combo lol. Oh and I also ordered all around IMO they look incomplete with just the front.

Not to mention they will dramatically reduce wind noise if you crack all your windows on the highway, especially while your using the FX's bluetooh to talk on the phone.

When I see these on a car I think the driver is a smoker. Never seen one on a car yet where the person is not a smoker but there is always a first :)

They remind me of the black covers for headlights and tail lights too. Just not my taste as it detracts from the luxurious elegant sporty look and why you never see these on high end cars.

Weathertech makes awesome products.

Definitely a handy smokers product. I don't smoke but there has been plenty of days where it has been raining and the AC or defogger mode for the front windshield is just not cutting it right away. Then I'm driving around for the first 15 mins or so trying to find the right setting between AC or heat and my wipers to clear the windshield. This will allow me to crack all four windows and almost immediately get rid of that problem with out getting my interior door panels wet. For some reason the shape of FX invites water in though the front windows when they are cracked, a little more than any other car I have owned. Have you ever used the washer fluid to clean your front windshield while your driving with the front windows cracked? Almost 100% percent of the time the fluid will find it's way into the car and I'm not talking about from the initial blast of fluid. After the wipers push the fluid aside it's guaranteed to find it way inside lol. These would also keep me from having to roll up my windows, wait for the fluid to dry somewhat, then crack my windows again.

IMO its a very practical product and I'm not purchasing it for the looks. It's rainy day value alone is invaluable IMO.

The only concern I have is that I've heard some people say that in channel vents can mess up the windows track since it shares the top portion of the windows clearance when rolling up the windows but I wouldn't buy the stick on ones because then they do bring looks into the equation, looking cheesy and out of place. So hopefully all goes well with these as far as not interfering with the window too much.
 
I received them yesterday and tried to get them on today. The rear deflectors go on fine, the front...not so much. Unless I'm really missing the mark I don't see how the front deflectors won't trigger the auto down feature on the windows at least without some material shaving. If someone is successful in getting these in snug without activating the auto stop, please pm me and give me a hand.
 
Reprogram the auto down feature on your windows. Should be accomplished by lowering the window and then raise it up again and hold the switch an extra 5 seconds after its closed.

Tapa...did you get a set and if so were you able to get it to seat so that it doesn't pinch at the corner closest to the rear door? When I say it's in the way...I mean it's REALLY in the way. To get the window to come all the way up and not make contact I have to flex the deflector a good 1/8" away from the door which maybe doesn't sound like a significant amount, but it kinda is. The customer support rep said the rubber of the weather-stripping will form to the deflector in time. I'll try it even though I can't see the window not making contact with the deflector every single time I raise it even after the window has been completely up for a week let alone the 12 hours mentioned on the directions. They're sending me a replacement because the flange on the driver side door broke off the first time I brought the window all the way up. The rear ones went in no problem and they don't move at all when the window goes up. I'll give the front ones another shot when I get my replacement. Pics will follow if I'm successful.
