New '08 FX owner here :)

Hey guys,

This is my 1st post. (Newbie) My name is Javier and I'm currently living in Houston Tx. To all of you Texans, and new forum friends, Hi!

I would like to introduce myself as new proud owner of a 2008 FX35
Just got it yesterday with only 30K miles. It has all the packages I couldn't spell right... Technology, Sport, Hands Free, Touring Packages.
I believe that I got it in a good deal. It is a Infiniti Certified Per-Owned (CPO) with only 30K miles just for 28K. Yay or Nay? Carfax is clean clean clean. I added extended CPO warranty to 8yrs-120K. Everything is covered, from electronics to motor-transmission. Anyway the deal was done

The FX is for my wife.
We just bought it because the family is growing (one lovely daughter) and we have a '07 Nissan 350z, and I just dreamed of having an FX (that exact color and model, my wife wanted a white) because of the exhaust sound. Yes, that simple. Same as a G35c and/or350z.

So iS members, Hello! and Thanks for such a great place to read, learn and maintain up to date with everything for the Fx's and Infiniti Lot.

Welcome to IS Javier. Since you already have a Z, maintenance work will pretty much be the same. go to Nissan stealership more often than Infiniti stealership. and since your wife loves the sound of it, install a nismo exhaust on your FX.

Welcome to IS Javier. Since you already have a Z, maintenance work will pretty much be the same. go to Nissan stealership more often than Infiniti stealership. and since your wife loves the sound of it, install a nismo exhaust on your FX.

Yes! I read that you can use Nismo Exhaust in the FX but there's a type of extension for proper fitment. It is an aftermarket extension?

haha! Yep. The Z finally is paid off and now modding. I just want to maintain a clean look so I will go with Nismo V2 Kits. Already bought Nismo V2 Bumper and Nismo Exhaust.

You'll also need the mid pipe extension (if it doesn't include one from a G coupe) or have a shop extend the arms on the Y pipe.

Ok, then I believe that Nismo Exhaust will wait for couple of months. But yes, I'm in love with the Exhaust tone, it is kind of more deep than the Z and I am freaking able to hear it while driving! WIN.

Ha!!! It is funny GroundFX, because I am literally arriving from Walmart and you know what, SHE DIDNT LET ME DRIVE THE FX to Walmart...


This afternoon I had to tell her that I was going to take the FX for my 1st Sunday drive and as soon I got home, she was kind of stressed asking why did it took me so long, with a tone of a joke but really wanting to hear an answer. I was like WTF? :eek.:

Well, the 350z is paid off, we don't want to get rid of the car. It is in great shape. It is a 2007 with only 18K miles and very very clean, -detailed.
