2010 Fx35
I know theres another thread but i have a different question. I have a 2010 fx35 and want to get some tinting done but not sure how dark i want them. I at first watned them to be blacked out in the back but im not sure how my visibility will go during the night. Can someone tell me their window tint % for their car and how your visibility is at night?

I had 5% put on the fronts and left it to the discretion of the tinter to use what he needed on the rest for a match to the fronts. Then had 50% put on the windshield. I have to say the visibility is ok for me but I have always had real dark tint. I would have a problem without the backup camera.

@ greeksneak; When u drive in the dark, u use your side mirrors to check ur blind spot? or do you look back at your back passenger windows?
@sobi611; 20% gives a real good dark black? At 20% can you see from outside in when its bright out?

18% tint on the front windows.. matches the rears perfectly. Daytime, difficult to see inside. Visibility at night is just fine, if you have issues maybe you need to update your SRx :wink (2):

Whats your tint for the back passenger and rear window?

I have 35% on my front side windows. If I went any darker I would have trouble seeing out the sides at night without muchoutside lighting. But I'm an old fart, so my eyes aren't what they used to be (thought I would say that before Ian (PMG 705) chimed in:wink (2):)

How are the Canadian police with 35% fronts.....I have them...am I possibly going to run into trouble and/or how careful do I need to be?

Jonas it is legal in Ontario to use up to 35% tint on your side windows, you won't have a problem. They might stop you just to have a closer look at your sweet ride though:wink (2):

Great! Let's hope it's not for anything else! :tongue (2):

RUN FROM THE COPS! Anyone have experience with blacked out windows (0%). I never been in a limo so i dont know what its like.

Factory tint, which I believe is around 20%... so if you go with 18-20% it should match perfectly.

Well if there's no light out, of course you can't see .
:laugh:What I was meaning is I have to roll my window down then I can see out my side mirrors when it is like that. I don't have my front sides tinted on my truck and I have no problem with visibility in the same conditions.

I have 35% tint on my front windows and 20% on the rears. I've gotten about 5 tint tickets over the past year of having them. Cops here watch everything! I'd rather pay the tickets than to have them removed. It costs a lot of money to look good lol....

I'm getting my windshield done in 50% maybe next month. I'll admit though even with 35% on the front windows, it's hard to see out of my side view mirrors at night time when I'm parking in my driveway. I always have to roll the windows down.
