Quick question...what is the recommended height for jack stands to allow for good clearance and access. Looking to purchase a couple for some upcoming maintainance. thanks.

I use the ones that say "SUV jacks" Not sure the height of them, but they are definitely taller than "regular" jacks.

They are typically the tallest jacks in the auto store with the highest weight capacity. These give me the best height with plenty of room to work under the car. Also, the higher the car, the more light I typically get.

What is the height (stroke if jack) I would need to lift a '11 fx35 to rotate tires. I want to know if my existing hyd jack will work. It's not an SUV jack. I have 20" tires. I have read a lot of posts already and don't find any height info. Thanks

I would imagine an 8" lift would suffice. You can also use spare blocks of wood or bricks to add height to your jack.

I have a "regular" car jack and it didn't work with my fx until it was dropped on h&r or kids coil overs.

The SUV jack works perfect but I didn't have to use the extension.

The SUV jack doesn't fit under my BMW sedan.
