Need help fx45 or fx 35

Im about to buy an FX but i need advice eighter de fx 45 or the fx 35 sport tech pack with 20" wheels, i love power, sound but i live in the city so im affraid of the gaz!! but i heard that the 35 sounds better than the 45 stock? and if i do so take a 45 and i change the exhaust is it gonna be even harder on the gas? so please FX owners give me advice!!

If you really do, then get the 45. If you get a 35 and mod it, it will likely still have less power than a stock 45. As for the gas, it's not that big of a difference; maybe 2mpg in the real world from what I've heard from people here..

Get the 45. You won't regret it. My family has a 35 (just sold it) we now have a 06 45 and an 09 50S. We've tried them all lol. Get the 45

Get a 45 if you add an exhaust you'll get the sound and better flow which= +mpg as long as you don't get obbsesed with WOT.

sums it up in a nutshell... the 45 is limited to modding but is fantastic stock, if your worried about gas depending how you drive a 35 might be best, though there isn't much of a difference unless you have a lead foot.
one or the other you remain having a bad ass ride :tup:
 
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love the power of my 45 but it isn't near as much fun as my 35 was. This will be even more evident in the city where you will not come close to using the 45 to its potential. Barely any throttle will have you at speed and the next red light. I remember always being in the sweet spot with the 35 and a permanent smile on my face at all times. Now driving around town is such a luxurious and effortless ride, I forget how much fun the fx can be until I am on the highway and passing at speed.

Granted, given the choice again, I would probably take the 45 again, but I aslo do a lot of highway driving and appreciate the power at 60+mph.
 
i have a 45 and love it get the 45 and it has all the 35 options on it that way you dont have to pick and choose what option package to get and the power is nice
 
FX45, unless you want to throw down $10k for forced induction.

I go back and forth in terms of being able to do a bolt-on turbo/supercharger for the FX35, but the sound of a V8 and NA power is a perfect daily driver for me.

indeed the 35 is much more fun when short driving in the city...but if your more hwy driving you can really open it up with the 45
 
The 45 is a great ride. Petrol consumption is not much different than the 35 and you start off with a solid power base.
