Hey all,

Me again..since my fx is getting up there in mileage, I am looking to do as much maintainence on it as possible at this time. I was thinking of cleaning the oil out of the plenum as I have seen what it can catch w/out the use of the OCC. I did a search and was not able to see a DIY for just remova and replace, most included adding a spacer (maybe a later mod). My question is about the silicon requirement and reuse of the factory gasket.

Is silicon necessary? Can I reuse the factory gasket?

Meaning I don't have a spacer now. The only reason I was looking to clean it wa because I was working on my plugs and thought it would be something I could do at this time.
