Hey fellas. Will my stock 20's with the stock tire size and cut H&R's (1/2 coil in the front) and (rear springs non cut but with the lower seat bushing on the top) rub with 25mm spacers all around.

I'm awaiting my springs. Just getting a heads up on whats expected with the spacer and cut drop.

Thanks in advance.

I think you will rub. My winter setup on stock wheels and 25 mm spacer all around with H&R springs. From the look, it is pretty flush in the rear. I have a sneaky feeling you will need to roll your rear fenders at the least. The front should clear as it tuck in more then the front even with the 25 mm spacer.

If you're running with 25 mm spacer now, do a quick experiment.... just tie a piece light string/threat to a nut/screw, then hang it over the inner lip of the fender (top center) with the nut straight down to the ground so you get a plum line. If the string/thread clear the tire sidewall, you should be good; otherwise, you will rub, then come to Chicago, we're going to have a fender roll party :smile (2):. I found a local guy that renting his Eastwood Fender Roller tool. I plan to rent it next week to do mine and AeroBFA's.

it's possible they may rub in the back, but nothing a little massaging of the lip wouldn't cure... it's also possible they won't rub too, or they'll only rub when fully loaded under certain conditions, either way, again, worse case should be just rolling the rear lips a bit... if I had to bet I'd bet either no touching or minimal light occasional contact as worse case...

Sweet, too bad I'm out of town next week. I was going to have mine shaved off with a dremel then put some rustolem paint on the edges to prevent rust.

Ours are more of a pain to roll well though. I went to a buddy of mine who does fender rolling for a lot of people around DFW, and he said we have these little bumps that can't be fully rolled that keeps it from being a really clean job.

Yeah I know what you mean by the little bumps. Another problem with ours is that we have screws to hold the trim molding in place too. Luckily for me, I just have to roll the section between the two top screws.

yeah, with rolling on the fx you have 2 choices, either "full" fender roll, which includes flattening those 2 bumps & loosing the use of those 2 screws and the 2 top clips which fit into those bumps... this would be for really extreme fitments and full tuck.. I had to do this on mine... or, you can do a half roll, that's where you only roll the part up to the bumps... at that point the 2 top clips are still usable... this was all I needed to do for most others, including jb's gtr wheels even...

The fronts have the screw mounts which are a bitch to eradicate unless you want to cut the full liner edge out....I am just about there...... (so I can run flush w/o interference) and the rears (assuming you have trimmed/rolled tight to the well screws) have that pesky strength pillar that protrudes an extra 1/2"-3/4" and runs vertically along both sides of the door seam on the inside well. Has anyone ever beat that pillar down or trimmed it away? John?

The 25 mm spacers in the front with the cut h&r's look great. But the back when i put on the spacer, the tire sticks out past the fender. What size spacer should i put in the rear? 15mm?

What kind of tires? My guess is that the tire side wall must be bulged quite a bit. My winter setup on oe 20s with 25 mm spacer is perfect flush.

Keep in mine if you go anything less then 20 mm you can't use the the DRM Series, you will need to go with DRS Series where you need to replace the oe studs with the provided long studs. I think you should still be able to use a 20 mm DRM Series since on the back of the oe wheel, there is a pit about 5 mm (if I remember correctly) so that the protruded tip of the oe stud will not interfere with mounting surface.

Have you check this page on H&R site to determine what size you need?

I have the yokohamas paradas. Just checked the site. Thanks. I think from changeing the upper seat bushing on the spring to bring it lower, 25mm will def be to much. 25mm would work for a normal h&r drop. I think 15 mm would be my best bet. Just have to double check.
