Hey Guys
Its been a while since my last post

My stillen ceramic headers have been giving me HELL:mad.: ! This is basicaly the 3rd time in going to install them, turns out that the flange id not completly flat my car sounded like a broken down taxi, so i had a machine shop bring it down to zero .... just got them back a few days ago. now i was wondering, when i had installed my header the first time, the heat was HUGE in the engine bay (the header is not using the stock heat shield, but can it? any modds needed o make it work?) ... i think it was from the exhaust gases leaking out , im worried that since the summer is coming up... the header will cause a few issues ... will teh issue be solved now that the header is fixed? any suggestions?

Im not going to install the headers until im sure they wont kill my wallet ....again

PLZ HELP ME !!

Oh yea and btw, stillen's customer service sucks!

header wrap? Maybe your right... but what did you mean bey service life? (yes still new at this stuff) ... a custom heat shield might be better ... i hope there is space for that, doe anyone have a stillen header installed on thier car? any problems?
thnks!!

The way header wrap reduces the heat under the hood is by keeping it contained inside the "wrap", which in turn increases the temperatures seen by the header tubes. Higher tube temps lead to increased *risk* of cracking, warping, etc...
Do a search for the stillen headers. I know for sure that at least two guys here have run them.
