that's a very bad picture comparison....look at the dash speedometer....you'll notice in the 2009 picture you can hardly see the speedometer, yet in the 2011 it's vibrant. But in 2009-2011 it's all the same dash and all vibrant in all years. These pictures are not a good comparison if that is what you are making your decisions on.

Having said that, 2009 does have a different media system than the 2010 and 2011 with several items updated, but the picture makes it look different than what it looks like in person.

What's New for 2010

After a complete redesign last year, the 2010 Infiniti FX35 receives minor changes to its feature content. Bluetooth and a USB audio port are now standard. The optional Bose premium audio system gets 2 GB of digital music storage and the available navigation system now has added functionality with an in-dash DVD audio/video drive, Bluetooth streaming audio, a Zagat restaurant guide and weather reports.

What's New for 2011

Standard power lift gate (when it's available). Also pricing and options have been changed around. They say it's cheaper, but in reality it's not (I priced it out). For example, if you do a fully loaded FX50 S (the same exact as before) then it comes out almost $2,000 more, but the base FX50 is cheaper, you just have to add a lot more expensive options that before was cheaper.

Slightly off topic, but I predict for 2012 they will refreshen the grille and bumper with along with different fog lights.

Nope, it's already gone through a mid year refresh. For the mid year refresh for 2011 they revised all the packages and made power liftgate standard. My friend that works at Infiniti told me this since the 2nd gen is already on it's third year of production.

Well, mid cycle refreshes typically include an exterior re-freshening in addition to interior. So if Infiniti hasn't done it by its third year for the 2nd gen FX, then most likely the fourth year. I really doubt that Infiniti will keep the whole 2nd gen FX as is without any type of exterior re-freshening. The G sedan got the updated front fascia in 2010, three years in and the G coupe got an update for 2011, four years in. Plus, the 1st Gen FX had its exterior refresh in its fourth year too. So I guess we will find out in September what Infiniti decides to do!

I saw a 2011 FX35 today with chrome side vents and trim. Had to do a double check to make sure it was a 35 vs 50 but it was a 35.
