So I am thinking of painting the stock 21" because they are pitted around the centercaps form the winter (and a not-so-great touch-up job before I got the car last year) I am thinking of doing an IPL-wheel gunmetal type color....
I also want to black out the hatch brake light, but I think I want to keep some red in the taillights and just do a darker red instead of all black... and also may want to paint the side vent gunmetal... I did a few mockups:
Gunmetal wheels and tinted tails
or dark taillights
+painted vent
Let's see what I get quoted for the work....

I originally thought it wasnt bad but after a while it got to me.... it's not terrible like 4cyl 4" exhaust terrible but it gets annoying sometimes. don't get me wrong it sounds nice, but I want to switch it up so its not always LOUD and I can adjust it....

This looks sick! I've been looking for a set to this too. I'm Afraid to go with an aftermarket wheel.

Yeah I saw yours and it helped sway me...yours is a little too silver for me though, I want to do more of a gunmetal/IPL wheel color so it still looks semi-factory...
Also Im sick of completely black tails and want to keep some red in there..do kind of cherry-red/tinted red color and have a black hatch light.

^IPL wheels...but mayb ea bit darker. I still want that metallic sheen to them.

Yeah I agree with you. However the bottom chrome trim flows with the door handles, window trim, and roof rails while the vent is sort of adjacent to the lines of the other chrome hence the reason I want to lose it..plus I've had maybe 10 people ask if it was a vent I put on and I had to explain that it's factory and actually helps air flow to the big brakes.....
There's no issue with running an aftermarket wheel, but I am a wheel snob to a certain extent...another way to put it is I like function as well as form, I dont want to buy cheap 22"s/24"s that are heavy or badly made.....I want forged.
I liked my GTRs and sometimes wish I didn't sell them but the wheels I like for my car and want to buy...the cheapest set is ~$3500 (forged 22"s) before tires (~$1500) and that's more than I would like to spend right now...so painting the factory ones (which need to be painted anyway, the finish is screwed up) is what I want to do for now (~$400)

Just called two dealers..they are $160 EACH for the vents but Im going to see if I can get them cheaper...or I may just take mine off and live without them for a few days while they are getting painted....
Also, someone needs to develop a camber kit already! Coilovers are the only "big" mod I want to do to the car.....

Threw some vinyl tint on my hatch brake light. It was actually nice out for once, so I gave the FX a wash and some spray wax action.

I have some plans for the summer...
The bumper's cutouts call for only single outlets, so that's what is going on there. lol
