Best place for alignment in Brooklyn

Just an update for everyone ...I went to the Firestone in Brooklyn got the lifetime alignment they didn't mind that my car was dropped or I had 21's he said I could align it every week if I wanted to cool guy.... Forgot his name tho .

not bad, 2 full alignment visits and your money's worth. from google+ reviews, they aren't great. Dwayne, how was your overall experience as them being respectful to your ride?

I had no problem with them , I couldn't get much of an alignment because of my car being lowered with but he said he got it as close as he could ..they let me watch the whole thing they treated my car ok.

Any updates for a good wheel alignment. I have 24's so Im looking for a place that has experirnce with larger rim's. Any suggestions?

Falcon how did your alingment hold up?

Yea I am.... Gonna go back for an alignment in a few months .... They had no problems with my 21's but I don't know about 24's call them up.

My alignment is still straight, but I hardly drive the fx so prob not a fair assessment.

I was going to finally get my alignment today since I was at the dealer doing a 30,000 mile service, I figured I'd eat the cost and just do it there. They ended up telling me they couldn't do it because their set up will only allow them to align wheels up to 22 inches in size. I didn't expect to hear that from them so I called a Firestone in Westbury, LI and they said they "should" be able to do it. I'm going to go check them out this Saturday. If anyone with 24's has a spot they recommend in NY, please update this thread with the info. Thanks
 
24's can be a headache for most places, the hunter wheel alignment system won't mount on wheels that large, they do sell an adapter that allows the sensor to fit larger wheels but with even one set of these adapters they still won't work on 24's, to do 24's you need 2 sets of adapters stacked, most places don't have 2 sets nor even know that they can use 2 sets at the same time... I had to borrow a set from one place while using the other places set to combine them just to even be able to mount the sensors to a 24" wheel... any place that does big wheels regularly though should have these 2 sets of adapters, might be worth asking places that sell these big wheels who has the capability to align with them, they should know I guess...

I guess I will call around and see if I can find a place that sounds knowledgeable about an alignment on big wheels. Hopefully some of the IS users from NY that have 24's can chime in.

Cool let me know how that goes. I'm doing my regular maintenance and I want to get an alignment done asap since I have been going back and fourth between stock and 24's and haven't had one done yet.

Good stuff. If all goes well with you I'll be there soon as well. $90 for 24's sounds like a good price. Let him know you'll be giving him business for a job well done. It's hard to find people who know their stuff around these big wheels. Keep us posted
