right now im running the stock sport 20's. im debating between 20s and 22s. with 20s i get to use my stock tread(lots left) and save some $$$, 22s well.. bigger and better?

what are some other pros and cons between the two?

also a lot of people say a deep dish 20" wheel looks small on the fx, is this true? is a full faced non-lip wheel better?

i am guessing if i switch to 20's i would not need an alignment either, with 22's i probably would?

i would get an alighment anytime you change your rims or tires

deep dish does look much smaller with 20s than 22s. but it also has a lot to do with the design of the wheel

lastly, if your roads are golden and smooth as a baby's butt i would go 22s. If they are pot hole pilled then 20s for some extra protection

22s are more fragile than 20's?

Less tire side wall, could lead to harsher ride on bumps...I ride 22s with no complaints about ride quality

if you get 20 full face will look much better/bigger

the only real "pros" to 22's is aesthetics. But it's a HUGE "pro"... IMO... the only time 20s look good if it's flush (no lips). The bigger the lips on 20's the smaller they actually look, they'll look smaller than your stock 20s, almost look like 18s. Trust me on this, I learned the lesson the hard way.

Here's an example of a good looking "flush" type 20s on a FX

Just keep in mind... either way, you'll want to lower your FX. In fact, you'd be surprise how much better your FX will look just by lowering with the stock 20's

well i definitely do not want to lower it, not anytime soon at least. i will scrap deep dish rims. guesing even deep dish 22's will look small.

so the question is would i be satisfied with flush 20's... i like my stock 20s just wanted a different look, more bling i guess...

that bull bar on the fx looks sweet, where did u get it from?

I forget who's FX that is... but I got the picture from the wheel gallery (I think). I saved it a long time ago.

Why don't you want to lower your FX?

22's Pro - Aesthitics....thats the only pro

cons for 22's...heavier = less gas mileage/ worse performance in cornering, take off, passing/

20's with no lip loomk really nice.

those are nice but why get 2 sets of 20's?????? the stockers don't ride that great compared to the 22's you want comfort get some coil overs one u get some 22's. I agree flush 20's look okay but you will need a drop.

i definitely don't want to lower the car. i like the way the stocks look now w/stock height. just wanted some flashy wheels so im leaning towards some chrome. flush chrome 20's stock height wouldn't be so bad.

Not a single soul mentioned this....

Because of the lower profile of the sidewalls on the 22s they are stiffer, making for better handling response as they so not roll over as much as 20s.

So 22s are not just asthetics, they can have a positive benefit in performance. Choose forged 22s to keep the weight down, or light casting 22s.

Never once did I have any problems with my 22x9.5s or my 20x10.5s. I actually preferred the 22s when it came to handling and the 20s for straight line speed.
