Exterior and Interior

nissan-esflow-2_460x0w.jpg
The new Esflow concept is defined by crisp, clean lines and an exterior color inspired by glaciers - highly reflective solidified liquid with blue tints in its shadows. The headlights with LED lights and the Nissan logo is also painted in blue, while the six spoke wheels, the side sill, roof mounted lip spoiler, and lower rear bumper contain blue carbon inserts.
On the interior, the concept features a clean and open cabin, steel framed, thickly upholstered, and increasingly motorized seats. The seats are upholstered in gold leather and perforated gold suede while the doors are trimmed in dark blue leather and suede. The same theme is also continued on the dashboard, which is also adorned with silver carbon trim, and features four multifunction illuminated LCD displays.
Engine

Nissan has placed two electric motors that independently control the left and right wheels under the hood of its new Esflow concept. This setup ensures that torque is optimized for outstanding vehicle stability and control as well as efficient power regeneration. Nissan hasn’t revealed any numbers for electric engine as of yet, but they did announce that the Esflow can make the 0-60mph sprint in under 5 seconds.
The two motors are powered by the same laminated lithium-ion battery packs used in the Nissan LEAF and offer an autonomy of 240 km on one charge.
Will it go into production?

Nissan has said absolutely nothing about whether or not we’ll be seeing the Esflow out on the streets anytime soon, but if this doesn’t happen, then we can be sure that this concept will be the inspiration for a different sports car in the future. It may not feature the same powertrain, but we hope it will bring the same performance.

Absolutely inspired by the Z line, wouldn't you say? I like it - definitely on the edge with styling but concept cars usually are. If they did make a production run of this car I'm sure the exterior styling would be toned down a little.

I actually like the wheels for some stockers unless those are some 22's..... you can definetly tell that it is influenced by the Z and maybe this will transpire into another Z..

Sorry, I was wiping stuff off the keyboard...

Doesn't mention FWD or RWD... I would hope RWD but that would mean dual drive shafts which is a horrible design. If it goes to production, likely priced out upwards of $100,000 :(

Two other reviews I just read claim RWD. I think maybe the "under the hood" reference above is figurative.

I've never been a fan of cars like this....reminds me a little of the solstice, but of course I know it's not going to be anyway near the crap the solstice is. Gosh I hate that car; looks like the inside of a bumper car.

Definitely looks like the offspring of the above mentioned vehicles....
