GROM audio to non CAT/SAT/NAVI car

Yes, it is possible. I have non tech, SAT button, but no receiver as well and was able to install it. I have the SAT button and that's how I use my Grom, but since you have a '07, your CAT button should be the dial on the right that says CAT, TUNER, PUSH AUDIO, etc. It did have some issues to begin with. It worked for about two days, then it stopped reading the usb drive. Then one day I disconnected the battery to do other mods and then I got it working again. Overall, the Grom is really nice to have, but it still has some minor bugs they need to work out, which can be done with firmware upgrades when they release them.
 
I also have a GROM and work great. I also have problem with it. They have me sent it in, since it been working fine.
 
So far I am having nothing but troubles with my GROM unit. I am to the point of selling it and upgrading the whole stereo system just so I can play from a usb but GROM has said that it will be having a add on unit that will be correcting all the problems that they will be shipping for free so I will hold off on everything till it arrives. It was suppose to be out a couple weeks ago but they needed to tweak it a bit so again, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
As far as making the car able to play from the GROM i got a SAT receiver off of ebay for $9 and got the harness from the dealer for $19. after that it's just a matter of plugging it all in and your good to go:tup:
