Hey guys, im having this issue, rear moving while driving. It happens when you hit a bad road. The front doesnt body roll (i.e. lean left to right), but the rear does. On curves The front does fine, but the rear moves, like your tires have low pressure.

Tire pressure are on 35, my rear subframe was changed with an alignment a week ago

hmm thats interesting, its a left and righ movement really quick, what about sway or roll bar bushings in the rear, or rwd doesnt have any?, control arms?

Well u can tell that is flexing somewhere, doesnt hurt to take look under there to see if anything is loose or broken. If it was a stabilizer bar or cross member you feel it all over the place. Im guessing a bad strut that is pass its life.

I think it's normal on the FX. When I first got mine, I posted about the exact same thing. The rear basically feels like it's coming out then catches itself and rolls a lot. I was told it's pretty much because the back end is under damped which results in the twisting feeling you get. It happens anytime you hit a series of bumps while turning. FWIW, mine is now lowered and the problem is slightly better, but still there.

+1, shadow is right. You are describing the infamous, "FX hop" coined originally by GTO, I believe. This is what the 1st gen FX does.

You and I have the same 04 RWD model, but I have now added BC coilovers, several braces and a rear sway bar. We have a heavier platform so body roll isn't gone by any means, but it's a lot better than it was stock.

The 1st gen RWD FX did not get a rear sway bar the same year AWD and the FX45 did come with the rear sway bar. You can buy the brackets, bushings, end links and rear sway bar from any infiniti parts dealer. Mine was literally added less than a month ago.

Thanks for all the feedback and the pic too. But this didnt happen before, for some reason it all happened after the subframe change. I feel like they didnt do something right

Problem still here, it comes and goes, the rear sways left to right when hitting a bad road, its from the subframe change

need info thanks

Update- i noticed the lefy side of the fx moving up and down when tapping the brakes at 1-5 mph. I investigated and the (rear control arm?), ?, was moving more than the right side. Do you guys think its loose? if i tighten it will i mess up alignment???

im going try to take a video...

I get this while turning and if I hit a bump. Noticed it once driving through the mountains a couple years ago, and on a road right by campus. There's a decent sized bump on this bend in the road and if I hit fast enough while turning, I can feel the rear kick out for a second.

oh interesting, mine will happen 3 days in a row and stop on the 4th day.. Plus when i jerk brake around 5mph, the rear left side rocks left and right..
