Has anyone here ever twin turbo the FX50S?

Definitely going to be custom - no 2nd generation FX turbo "kits" exist at all.

HKS makes a kit for the motor inside the FX50, but things like the exhaust manifold, turbo manifold, intercooler piping, mounting... all will need to be fitted and customized for the FX50.

You could start with a Jim Wolf Technologies TT kit for the first gen and then have piping fabricated to fit the second gen?

What Logan said stands - find a speed shop with a good reputation and talk to them about what you want. They can give you a ballpark estimate and I'm guessing it will be somewhere between $12K and $18K. You can always spend more.
 
you can go for the HKS kit and make it work, the jim wolf TT and make it work, or go full custom TT. Either way, you're looking at around $20k with some engine building

The suggestion for a "good shop" would be from Tchuck but I'll second/third that opinion, Find a shop with a stellar reputation that has done a fair amount of successful FI work.

Looks like Hollywood is doing some sort of massive supercharger or something that will give him ~525hp on his FX35. That will shut up dome people lol. Can't imagine the same done on a FX50S

I belong to xbimmer 4um and no one really talks sh!t about the fx50. They actually compliment them because of the excellent quality for the price. They talk alot of smack about the Cayenne and Volvo. Volvo? Are they even worthy to be mentioned in the same breath? Lol...

Yep...seconded.

Plus they are just a tune away from some much more power. Add some DPs, full exhaust, intakes....

With just a tune they are getting massive gains!!!:smug:

If anything it would be nice to play with them and even beat them. What about the Jeep SRT-8 guys? Now there is a bunch that talk some smack, but hey they have a huge aftermarket and can usually back it up, and then some:wink (2):
