Hi all,

I've been having a major problem with my CD changer, for instance, when I press the "CD/DVD" button the stereo just turns off or if i press "eject" the displays says " No CD"..

I don't hear anything moving inside, and there are 4-5 cd's loaded into the changer already.

I read here to remove the power to see if it would reset, so i removed the radio fuse from the under hood fuse box, but no luck , and no warranty, any other ideas

All suggestions welcome?

FYI: the dealer wants 350 for a new unit with a exchange and one hr labor for a refurbished one:err:

My CD player wasn't working properly too on my 05 FX but the dealer replaced the whole unit for free under the warranty.
I guess this applies to basic warranty...
Good Luck!

You know that price the dealer quoted is not THAT outrageous. I know it sucks your original CD player gave up the ghost though. Maybe you can install an AUX iPod adapter for much less that $350 and just live with it. I hardly use my CD player...

my stock cd player has issues during winter weather. i only had one instance where it said NO CD despite having all the slots full. I turned the power off and back on and everything was up and running on again. Haven't used a cd player since installing the ipod adapter. for what you might end up paying at the dealership, i suggest you look into alpines.

You toooo! I got the same problem, but mines makes noises EVEN when i turn off the car and remove my key the cd changer makes sounds like if its going to blow, and it keeps on saying "check disc" . I just hook my ipod in and listen to that.

I'm on my third CD unit, all replaced under warranty. They seem to be prone to failure, especially when it gets colder for some reason. I'm now out of warranty so the fourth head unit will be on me.

I have a 2003 FX35 and just went to S. Bay Infiniti last week with the same CD player problems. No hassle, they approved a new replacement head unit under "Goodwill" warranty. You could do the same.

Wow! That is a lot of goodwill. It's nice to know that there are some stand up dealers out there.
