I just got my fx35 fixed under Good Will warranty. They fixed my driver side door and the cd player for FREE.. Just love it.. If your fx35 is out of warranty w/ low mileage, i would recommend calling your local dealership and ask about Good Will warranty..

Never heard of it... What's the deal?

my driver side stopped working and my cd player skipped. I called infiniti warranty and they told me that they have Good Will warranty where the problems can be fixed for free. I went to a local dealership and they approved for Good will warranty and everything got replaced. I even got a free loaner.. i have 04 fx35 w/ tech + sport w/ 48k miles.

I know it would also help if you frequent the dealer for other services in the past. I know Metro Infiniti in Duarte did some good will before

Let us kinow which dealership provided the work. How far out of your warranty were you?

my warranty expired 08 (bumper to bumper) and drivertrain 09.
I took my car to south bay infiniti. I have a great relation with one of the service manager. He serviced my other infiniti and since then he has been frank and pleasant. I thought i had to pay at least $500 for the parts and labor to fix my driver side lock + my cd changer but thanks to the Good Will warranty i was able to save some money.

ps. Ilovemyfx, I am planning a quick trip to your city, any recommendation(s)?

Sounds like a good service department and a good service manager. It's these kind of things that build brand loyalty.

As far as Vancouver is concerned, it depends on what you're looking for. Most of the bar scene is downtown on Granville. There's plenty of shopping on Robson. If you want to live on the wild side check out Gastown and Chinatown. The walk between the two can open your eyes as to how down some people can get. Recommended during the day only. If you just want the tourist side check out False Creek and Granville Island for shops, cafe's and a great seawalk.

I'm not a skier but the local mountains (Seymour, Grouse, and Cypress) have great snow conditions right now. Whistler, of course, would be the skiers choice but find a hotel deal online before you go.

If the weather is good Vancouver is a beautiful city. If it's raining, just bring an umbrella.

i have not been to the dealership once..and they are the only infiniti dealership in the city of Austin. so i am pretty sure they don't care about good will warranty.

Thanks for your recommendations. This is my 2nd time going to your beautiful city. I been to gastown + chinatown and was shocked to see so many homeless people. I been to skid row (street of homeless or i like to call them nomadic city dwellers) and lived in SF (tenderloin), but i was surprised to see homeless people in your city.. I hate to digress but in Canada is there any programs for the homeless people? It just breaks my heart to see so many homeless people wondering aimlessly and without hope.

I can't speak for the rest of Canada but Vancouver has tons of programs for homeless people. There are many housing projects, welfare systems, even needle exchange programs and supervised injection sites for drug addicts. Millions of dollars are spent trying to house, feed, and rehabilitate people in the downtown east side (the name of the area between Gastown and Chinatown). Generally Vancouver has a very low crime rate and homeless problem but the concentration in this neighbourhood is extreme.
