I always loved the look of your FX the way she is. But I do not think your 22's would look as good painted black.
As you said earlier you wanted to go to a sportier look. So the two wheels I commented on a couple posts ago would look better than painting your present wheels. But it is whatever you really like.
But again I do think your ride looks sweet the way she sits right now.
Agreed.. If you want to change I believe the previous choice is better than painting your current wheels.. Also, if you go black, I would paint the handles and rails/chrome black and not body color to match the wheels...
With all this, keep in mind that you're modifying your car and you need to live with it everyday.. so do what makes you happy.
LooL:tongue (2): Thanks gto. It's obvious i have no skills... Maybe i should have asked....
Anyway very nice chop. Can you make me one with full black wheel and door molding?
Thanks!
Quick question as I'm also considering a 20x10 wheel with 295/45 tires. Are you sure that the 10" wheel with 40mm offset will not cause an obstruction or extend beyond the fender? I only ask because an aftermarket dealer told me that a 9.5" is the largest rim they recommend without having to make modifications.
Would a lower offset address any obstruction problems, or would that just make any fender problem even worse?
The offset is the most important!
The wheels i have in the picture above is a 35 offset and it sits a bit over the fender but with a drop will be perfect.
I think the dealer told you not to put a bigger rim than 9,5" on your stock tires.
A 40 offset is near the stock rims offset wich is 50. Issues will occur when you go below 35 but even then it depends also on the rim width and tire width.

Now that i have sold my wheels and tires i am searching a new tire-wheel combo. I am debating wich one to choose...
Here they are:
1.265/50R20x8,5 Front with 295/45R20x10 Rear (staggered )
2.285/45R20x10 all around
All the tires are Yokohama Advan S.T. V802.
My only concern is the bulge of a 265/50R20 tire with a 8,5 width and the wheels that i want to buy don't come in 9" wich it would have been perfect; i mean i would like to keep the bulge even with the front and rear and not look silly on the front.
What do you guys think/suggest?
