• My White car is the same as this EVO

Im from the Chi i took my car to this detailer shop becuase i had alot of brake rust all over my pearl white paint job:

their process was:

Car was dirty sprayd this liquid was like a green with water said it was a safe acid sprayed the whole car and slight work in with a sponge
then ran it through their ultimate machine wash that had double soup, wax, rain x, paint sealant
then applied meguiars 80/20 sealant with a 2handle buffer
all done in 35 mins

they got the rust out and was shiny but looked like the evo with the wet sand marks not as bad theirs circles just with a coat of shiny
my question is would u use the same compound/polish/wax on a paerl white paint job and if i dont have a buffer can i apply it by hand?

BIG A - yea, sounds like you went straight to the car wash. i wouldnt put any trust in the work you said was done by them. 35 mins?
i use the same products on all colors. find a real deailer in your area.

When I go to NY I know for a fact you are going to leave my FX like new

this is how she looked after being washed & degreased twice.
the clay removed the rest of those dull spots + whatever overspray i found!


i used the drivers fender as the test panel.












this is nothing new, i get a lot of cars with overspray on them lol. the fender, drivers side mirror & door got it the worst.

i charged $500 for the civic & i had it for about a week. we also did a full interior shampoo. when i get a project like this, i work on it slowly. if your truck is in similar condition then it will be more $ bc its an suv. hard to quote a job though without seeing it in person or at least having some clear & close pics to go by.

Andrew, You do amazing work my friend Love it. THanks for sharing. You remind me of myself, love taking care of cars & my neighbors think im nuts because I alwasy clean my car & my wifes rain/sleet or snow lol. Are most of the products you use listed on this thread? if so i'll go over it again when i'm at home. I'm currently at work so i skimmed through it. Also I see you dont really grease up the tires. Is there a reason for that? Thanks again!

Andrew, I stopped by your shop about 2 months ago. I took my fx to your shop to get an estimate what it would cost to get my truck up to your high standards. I haven't been able to get my truck to you cause it's my only car to drive back and forth to work. So yes I have seen your work and Hands down worth every single cent!!

i would do a test spot to determine if its oil or water based paint. when can you stop by the shop?

i mean tahts the type of machine you use though? becuase theirs 2 types of makita 9227c machines, if you dont use that all times while polishing and compund do you apply by hand or use another machine?
