Got hit by a 19 year old girl. Damaged my fx. Damn man.

So im comming home from the vet and im at a red light in the left lane to turn left. Blinker on and waiting on the light. There is this grey chevy equinox in front of me also waiting on the light to turn left. Light finally turns green the chevy turns and i go to turn as were turning, she slams on the brake (seems like she said oh shit i didn't want to turn here, let me back up like an idiot even though im halfway through a left turn already) and throws the car in reverse and she reverses into my drivers door and part if the fender. She has the nerve to say why was i behind her! Wtf your turning left and so was i. I didn't tell you to stop making your left turn and back up into me. I just don't get it these days. Really come on now. She starts crying and her car had three girls in it. They looked like they were 12. Good news is she admitted and geico is paying for everything. Pics below. May not seem so bad but i try to keep my fx in great shape. Washin and waxing her as much as possible.

ahahaha anyways maybe a PDR guy can get that crease out? I had a crease on my door pulled out, and it looked perfect. Then have someone professionally buff the door.
 
Dam, that bites John. I got hit a bit worse than that on the front fender when I was getting gas.
They wanted to repair the fender, but I made them replace the front fender and replace the wheel lip molding.

Good luck with the fix.

+1 on that! Bondo putty is not acceptable for me. It's either replace the panel or I'll pay for it myself.
 
i have heard of getting hit head on but this is the most stupid thing that driver could do. you should have scared the soul out of her when she was crying, by just screaming and jumping everywhere. good thing you've not to worry. in the meantime get a loaner G37
 
Just gotta find a good auto body shop in ny that will do the job right and not half ass it with bondo. From certain angles you can see theres a crease in the door.

Gieco is pretty smooth to work with. I can choose any one of their certified shops to fix the fx and if i have a place i wana bring it to and they are not certified by gieco, they will cut me a check.

I wonder if a dealer is certified by gieco. Be great to have a dealer fix it. But who knows now-a-days with dealers and the way they operate.

u don have to go to certified body shop,
cause I do live in NY as well, and was dealing with Geico
I had to replace my whole front bumper, and was hit and run. Just happened right in front of me.

So Geico gave me a check according to their system,(part labor price). they gave me abot $700. And I fixed my car at dealer, and they charged me bout $900.
so I gave em my recipt, and they paid me difference.

You have to go to certified bodyshop to estimate repair cost, but that doesn't mean you have to fix your car there.
They are taking to picture and some paper works.
