Automatic Folding Mirrors

i just purchased a Fx35 2012 and i found this function , a button near the mirror control ^^ switch on and off then mirrors will be closed or opened :D

I think he's looking to have that happen automatically when you start/stop the car.

'07 and '08 FX45s have the power folding mirrors standard. I wonder why they did not include them on the 2G FXs. Not even standard on the 50s? Maybe to keep costs down? :confused.:

Yes but who wants to press a button each time when everything else is more automated than any other car! :)

I wish I had the automatic folding mirrors though I hate having to push the button all the time to make them fold in.

But here is a little trick I learned to get them to automatically fold out when starting the car. Before you shut the car off push the close button to fold the mirrors in. Then shut the car off. After you shut the car off push the button that folds the mirrors open. Next time you start the car the mirrors will automatically fold open when the car is started. Kind of retarded but it works lmao.

Yeah I've been doing this for a long time already. No trick just pressing the button at a different point in time. There should be a setting to set to auto based on lock unlock and not just manual for a wide variety of reasons. Even just as stupid as a way of knowing far away that u did lock the car. I always do but once in a blue moon after u walk away and wonder if u locked the car. You'd be able to see right away instead of walking back within distance.
