buying these wheels next pay day "maybe"

IMHO....Chrome wheels on your copper FX is just not going to look the best. Most members on here dont like the chrome look..so your going to get some backlash. Black wheels / or machined probably will be a better look to go with. Look up other copper FX's on here and see how they look...most have gone with polished or black wheel.

But if YOU like it....all the best.
 
That's quite a nice style IMO. Chrome isn't well liked on iS, I had chrome wheels on my FX and most didn't care for it. They have a black surround on the inside which gives a dark shadow chrome look, very interesting. Reminds me of momos dark shadow chrome from quite a few years ago.

There is another member on here with RVM wheels. They seem to be of ok quality, just a tad heavy. I'd say go for it.
 
well if things change when I put them on and I dont like them I might consider painting them all gloss black. MY intent was to purchase status knight wheels they are black with polished 5 star spokes but I just dont have 2 grand,lol. I did notice that the black outer inserts are removable so I wonder what they would look like the same color as the car? wish I had photoshop.

those look great. the lip is nice and you cant go wrong with that style 5 spoke. looks balanced, not too gaudy for chrome.. not that im a chrome hater.

Some people think chrome is ghetto, I guess that's why my FX received so many compliments in person by random people although I was torn apart on at least 1 forum for "ghetto chrome". Everyone is entitled to their opinion though, I think I'm one of te only people who think 1st gen 20s on 2nd gens look terrible.
 
I saw the same version of this wheel in silver on eBay, but I can't find it anymore. Have you thought about keeping the OEM wheels for now and maybe working on lowering it instead? Like springs or coilovers until you find the perfect wheel? :wink (2): That's what I'm doing.

You would have to get them media blasted I believe. At that point with repainting or powdercoating it's probably a good bet to just keep looking (figure on the low end another 100 per wheel for paint or powdercoat and that probably will not include prep, unless you have a hookup).

I like the wheels. The finish may or may not go well with your FX. It really shouldn't matter what we think, it's your ride!
