Hey Guys,

So I tried installing my new Morimoto bulbs, I followed the guide here, when I connected everything back up the h/l doesn't come on, is there some special orientation the bulb has to be inserted in ? It seems to be sitting properly but it's hard to really tell because you can barely see in there.

my only offering is to make sure that bar thing on the bulb is facing upwards and that the tiny little metal connector is attached near the harness. I hope this makes sense.

Make sure the silver socket is connected to the bulb properly. You need to match the notches on the bulb with the socket. Sounds like the bulb is not getting the connection properly from the socket.

Ok, I repositioned the bulb multiple times and I finally got it, the weird thing is , first 2 times I turned the lights on the bulb was not working but the next time and every time after that it works fine. However, for some straaaaaaaaange reason, check engine light is now on:tonguey::err:

lol how did you make the service engine light come on!:eek.:

I hope you disconnected the battery while doing all of this.

Yup I did disconnect it. I am just so tired, I left the new MM bulb in and will replaced the other stock tomorrow. But for the love of god why did that come on ? Battery was disconnected at all times so why would a simple bulb change cause this ? Welll let's wait and see if it doesn't go away after 1 day or so, off to the dealer I go :tongue (2):

^^ Lulz that rhymes :)
