Car won't fire up! AGAIN!

I own a 2006 Infiniti FX35 with about 43,000 miles. The car DOES NOT FIRE UP right away when it is left in the COLD WEATHER and hasn't been driven for a few days.
I had the same problem last year so I got a new battery at the end of last winter (Advanced Auto Parts said that the amp of the battery at fire up was very low) and the car has been fine during the warmer time.

Now that it is getting colder the car doesn't want to fire up right away AGAIN! Can anyone point me in the right direction? Should I get any specific parts checked?

I'd clean the TB first. It's easy and it has a noticeable difference even if it doesn't cure your problem. From there I'd clean the air filter, then check the battery voltage. After that I'd take it to the stealer for diagnosis.

As Bklynjohn mentioned, it doesn't get that cold down here. And as of last year (when I brought it in to the stealership to diagnose this problem) they said that my TB was clean. And I also put in brand new K&N air filter over the summer, too.

Any other possibilities? Thanks for the inputs.

tb can get dirty within a year, like what tchuck suggested maybe its best to try cleaning that first...
 
I see Pat. Do you think I'll be able to do it on my own? I've read that it requires some skills? And that if you mess up it's not good?

You think I can do it on my own? Should I buy some stuff on Amazon?
 
Had exact same thing happen to me last winter. Cleaned the throttle body (the little "flap" that is in on the outside of the intake manifold) with some alcohol dipped rag and viola! Works like a champ

honestly its not so bad. the first time doing it, you may be scared taking the intake off and such but honestly its cake after that. Like the poster above me said, clean it with some alcohol. Do the TB learning procedure after cleaning.

I had the exact problem last month. The first time I crank it, it wont start, then crank it again, it start right up. At first I thought it might be the battery and I tested and it still good (OEM). The problem started out maybe once a day, then progressively worst (every time). I clean the K&N filter, the mass air flow sensor and the throttle body. All three parts looks pretty dirty. Let the K&N dry thoroughly, oil and put everything back together. It fired right up on the first crank.
