Here is how to change the ugly yello side marker with white SMD LED.

I used sobi6111's guide to remove the dust cover.
Thanks to sobi6111.

DIY HID bulb change / running lights change

Follow the page 7 but I didn't remove all the clips.
I just removed #2 and #3. Once you removed #2 and #3, you can lift the dust cover. Use a led flash light and you will be able to see the plastic stick with a round hole I circled in red. Turn to clock wise or counter clock wise and you can pull out from the housing pretty easy.

I bought the SMD LED from eBay user. Search user name GTAutoHause.

Make sure you turn on the light to test you plug the LED correctly, if it doesn't turn on, simply plug in to the other way. LEDs have polarity.

I don't have before pictures but just after. Compare with yours.
Brightness is good and looks good.
I used my iPhone to take pictures but I will post better pictures after I get Sony a55 this weekend.

thank goodness the north america fx dunt have side marker. i guess its a trade off for not getting euro spec headlights lol

When you said you did this, I thought you were talking about the orange amber parking reflectors at the top of the headlight.

The one's you changed are called the city lights.

Here's mine:

You essentially remove the dust shield and stick your hand in there to remove the bulb :smile (2):

Sorry to bump an old thread... But has anyone had a problem with the lights after installing the LEDs? I put the second bulb in and a second later they both went off along with the 2 amber corner lights. I put back the old bulbs and still not working. Help?!

Check your fuses if you haven't already

Sent from my SCH-I535 2

Yeah, that's where I started, I went through checking all the fuses and couldn't find one blown until I Finally I found the fuse box that's hidden behind the battery and it was in there. The fuse marked "CLEARANCE" is the one that was blown. SO, hope this helps anyone that might have this problem in the future.
